Philadelphia MBDA Business Center
About This Center
The MBDA Business Center of Pennsylvania, a contract from the U.S. Department of Commerce operated by The Enterprise Center (TEC), is the region’s leader in minority business development. The Pennsylvania MBDA Business Center has generated over $290 million contracts and financing, as well as created hundreds of jobs since 2004, when TEC was initially awarded the federal contract from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). These contracts represent significant business activity for minority-owned firms in the Greater Philadelphia region.
A unique approach to assessment, service delivery, and continuous improvement has allowed the Pennsylvania MBDA Business Center to secure key allies such as Disney Studios, Sovereign Bank, and CB Richard Ellis. Working with its banking partners, the Pennsylvania MBDA Business Center has facilitated over $30 million in financial transactions for its clients. The center has been integral in positioning firms for contracts by helping entrepreneurs develop business plans, secure financing and craft marketing strategies.
