About This Center
The Washington DC Minority Business Development Agency Business Center is operated by the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council.
The center is part of a national network of funded centers located in major cities throughout the United States. The center works with minority business enterprises to generate increased financing and contract opportunities and to create and retain jobs.
The mission of the center is to strengthen the U.S. economy by helping ethnic minority businesses create or retain jobs, and build economically vibrant socially responsible entrepreneurs, businesses, and communities.

Project Director, Dennis Smith
Dennis Smith has extensive experience in establishing and implementing policies and programs to maximize small and minority business participation in the acquisition of goods and services in the local, state and Federal sectors. A current member of the Board of National Association of Minority Contractors, he has over 30 years of experience directly providing or managing programs that have provided MBEs marketing assistance, government contracting counseling, loan packaging, bonding assistance, mentor protégé support, and capture management.
